With Calyxta celebrating their 3rd anniversary this month, we wanted to take a trip down memory lane with gorgeous celebrities who set the world on fire by boldly going where few had gone before through their unique beauty trends!

Audrey Hepburn (Bold Eyebrows)

Audrey Hepburn had her eyebrows on fleek at a time when bold eyebrows were still gaining popularity. She knew before many others did that strong, well-groomed brows framed the face and gave youa  more youthful look.

Marilyn Monroe (Red Lips)

Marilyn Monroe’s iconic look of a bare face and red lips is still often replicated. Hundreds of shades of red lipstick have been created in an ode to her style.

Twiggy (Bold Lashes and Liner)

Top British model, Twiggy, knew the power of mascara and a strong eyeliner to really make your eyes pop. Her doe-eyed look and strong lower lash line became super popular in the 1960s.

Cindy Crawford (Beauty Marks)

In a sea of beautiful faces, one face stood out in the 1990s because of a beauty mark that wanted to make a statement of its own. By not surgically removing her mole, Cindy Crawford became a household name and one of the few supermodels who encouraged a more body-positive fashion industry.

Drew Barrymore (Brick Brown Lips, Thin Eyebrows)

Who can forget the 90s with its grunge fashion and beauty styles? Drew Barrymore was a style icon of the time with her matte brown lips and super thin eyebrows. A beauty trend many women regret following today.

Jennifer Aniston (The Rachel Cut)

In 1994, Friends hit our TV screens. But before the show became a cult classic, Jennifer Aniston’s character, Rachel, had a layered hairstyle that became an instant hit with thousands of women flocking to their trusty hairstylists to copy it.

Kim Kardashian (Contouring and Highlighting)

Kim K introduced makeup novices to the art of shadows and light by using dark contouring to accentuate her cheekbones and highlighting powder to bring out her nose and lips. She also helped introduce baking to the world, the idea of setting your makeup with a thick layer of powder for a few minutes, before dusting it off and stepping out.
