I have been a user and fan of Maybelline cosmetics for years. What I love most about the brand is its ability to give its customer base high-quality products that are easy to use for the everyday girl. Maybelline has done it yet again with their V-Face makeup line by demystifying contouring. Enhancing the nose and cheekbones is made easy with the help of the V-face line. With these products, we are able to create subtle contours that are appropriate for an everyday look but deliver high-impact beauty.
The V-Face Duo Stick comes in three different shades. Each pen has a dark shade for contouring and a shimmery light shade for highlighting. The shade that is appropriate for you is the one that has a contour that is a shade or two darker than your skin tone. Apply it directly under the cheekbones, along the sides of the nose, at the jawline and at the hairline and blend with your fingers until all visible lines blend in with the skin. The highlighter goes on the bridge of the nose, above the brows and at the highest part of the cheekbones. Again, use your fingers to blend.
Set the Duo Stick with your V-Face Duo Powder. There are two ways to use this product: you can swirl your brush blending the two shades then applying it evenly all over your face, or you can give your face even more definition by using the darker shade under the cheekbones and the sides of the nose, and the lighter shade at the bridge of the nose and other parts you want to highlight. I love this product. It’s a great everyday powder that gives amazing coverage and mattifies the skin nicely.
The product needed to complete your look is the V-Face Blush contour. It comes in five different shades so you will definitely be able to find a shade that compliments your skin tone perfectly. Each V-Face Blush palette contains three shades—a highlighter, a blush and a contour powder. The contour in this palette is the darkest shade in the whole line so it is perfect for evening looks or for anyone for wants their face to look slimmer. It comes in beautiful matte browns that are not too orangey, which is a mortal sin when it comes to contouring. Apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks and the shimmery highlighter right above that to finish the look off.
