RIMMEL LONDON LASTING FINISH PRIMER REVIEW
I’m a work-at-home mom so I don’t wear makeup often. When I do, I don’t need it to last the whole day because all I ever need to do outside the house is pick up the kids from school, shop for groceries, and maybe go out for a couple of hours with my husband or my friends. So, I never thought I’d need primer, which makes foundation last longer.
Then a beauty-obsessed friend told me that primer also preps skin so that imperfections are blurred and acne scars are smoothed. So now, when I go to meetings or events for my blog, Topaz Horizon, I make sure to use a primer.
Then, I got across Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer, which promises to “increase foundation wear for up to 8 hours.” Yes, that’s what it says on the tube. It also says that its “ultralightweight formula helps to minimize the appearance of pores, and evens skin tone whilst providing endless comfort.”
First, the primer feels and smells a lot like sunscreen. It’s thick, and it takes a while to rub into skin. I wouldn’t call it lightweight upon application, and it actually feels greasy. But, it dries up fast, and the result on skin is nice and matte. It’s really soft, too!
Second, maybe even Rimmel can’t hide all my skin sins since I am 40, plus I have suffered bad acne since puberty. But while all my imperfections are still visible, the primer made them look softer.
Third, foundation does stick better! I look better, too – glowing than usual. The foundation also did stay on longer than usual but this primer couldn’t compete with our hot and humid climate.
My verdict? I’d definitely buy Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer again! I like how it makes my skin feel and look. I like how it makes foundation last longer and even perform better. It’s definitely an amazing beauty find!
