Calyxta Beauty Awards 2018: Calyxta Crew Faves

Whenever there’s a new brand or product available on Calyxta, you can trust that the Calyxta Crew will always be one of the first ones to try and test it. And so we asked them what their favorite discovery was for 2018, and here are their answers!

I discovered this scent during the intimate wine and perfume pairing event of Soleil et Lune and Calyxta. I’m very picky when it comes to the scents I wear (I have my staples already), because I don’t like smelling too feminine. I’m more drawn towards fresh and citrusy scents, which is exactly what Brigitte was. I’ve consumed two bottles already and bought a third for my backup!

The curling effect of the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara seriously lasts me all day without re-curling nor re-applying. Plus, it doesn’t give me panda eyes at all. Love, love love!

Finding the perfect nude lippie for every girl is necessary! It needs to look like your natural lip color but better and that’s what NYX’s Lip Lingerie in Push Up does for me. It applies on evenly and doesn’t leave me with dry lips either so it’s become one of my favorite finds on Calyxta this year!

Maybelline’s Superstay Matte Ink in Voyager has been my go-to lippie for 2018. I use it for a vampy gradient lip in the day, and as a kiss-proof liquid lip at night. I love how it stays on for the whole day, and how comfortable it is to wear. You don’t get that cracking dry feel like how liquid lippies are.

Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in the shade, Deep Bronzer! Two reasons why this deserves an award: I love the bronzy glow it gives and it smells so good! I feel like I’m in a tropical vacation and the bronzer is my pina colada, because that what it smells like. Yum!

Colourpop Pressed Powder Bronzer in Afternoon Delight. I thought that this product would be hard to apply as it seemed dark, based on the packaging. Upon trying it, the color pay-off was a little more subtle than what it looked, but it did give me the everyday contour that I wanted. The price is affordable, and the packaging looks clean in white, which is a bonus!

Milani’s Retouch and Erase Light-Lifting Concealer packs a punch when it comes to concealing stubborn undereye discoloration! A little goes a long, long way so this will last you a while. Love the creamy texture and the great coverage.

Since I’m turning thirty soon, I thought to try It’s Skin’s anti-aging YE Effector from Calyxta. Better late than never, right? So, this isn’t fake news, but after only weeks of using it, I’ve already been told that my skin looks different! It definitely feels healthier, smoother, and plumper.
