When I walked down a white sandy beach for my nuptials, I chose not to wear any shoes. I figured that it would be unnecessary given that the sand would make it uncomfortable had I chosen to wear heels. It turns out I’m not the only one with unique choices of “footwear” on their big days! Here are some other brides during their wedding days who opted for something a little less traditional. Play with Color
Just because your bridal dress is white, it doesn’t mean your shoes have to follow suit. Look at these beautiful blue shoes from bride, Pia Sta. Romana, as she walked down the aisle with her dashing groom, Andre See.
Let Your Toes Peep Through
No one says you have to stick to high heels and formal footwear for your wedding. It’s your own special day after all. We love these gold strappy sandals worn by bride, Angela Agustin, as she married her prince charming, Daryl Magdangal. Her shoe selection is perfect for a garden ceremony.
Go Edgy
Dainty doesn’t have to be the way your wedding will be remembered. Here is a gorgeous example of funky platforms from bride, Garovs Garrovillo, as she married her co-partner in Everywhere We Shoot, Ryan Vergara, in an edgy wedding complete with Garov donning orange hair.
Don’t Wear Shoes At All
Bride, Reese Tirona, had the right idea of letting the sand tickle her toes when she married her beloved groom, Carlo Rojas, in a gorgeous beach wedding. Let’s be honest—who wants to wear shoes at the beach anyway?
Insider tip: encourage your guests and entourage to do the same!
Decorate Your Feet In Other Ways
We love how beautiful couple, Vishal Uttamchandani and Neenu Khemlani, used henna to adorn their hands and feet for their wedding. You can also opt to use foot jewelry or temporary gold tattoos as a way to add impact without even wearing footwear.
