Every woman envisions herself looking fresh and radiant on her wedding day but it’s difficult to achieve that look with oily skin. Starting to prep your skin early for your big day can help you (and your makeup artist) keep your skin glowing without the grease.
First and foremost, you have to work on your diet. Remember that your skin reacts to whatever it is you eat. Minimize your dairy and sugar intake and fill your grocery cart with lots of fruits rich in vitamin C and fibrous vegetables. Also, make sure to keep hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Exfoliate with a facial scrub twice a week to remove excess oils. A home microdermabrasion machine will work wonders if used once a week.
Use a toner day and night after cleansing and instead of applying heavy crèmes on your face, opt for serums or a gel moisturizer.
Lastly, to prevent getting last minute blemishes during the wedding, use a clay mask to pull excess oils from your pores and to keep your skin extra clean.
