1) 20’s Inspired Bob. Imagine flappers, The Great Gatsby and The Roaring Twenties. This decade oozes decadence and opulence; we are fascinated by it and its influences in fashion, make up and hair. Hair should be cut at around chin-length; bangs are optional. You can take a flat-iron to your hair and wear this look sleek and shiny, or you can use your curling iron to add a bit of texture.
2) Textured Bangs. Bangs could be the biggest trend we’ve seen all year and there are more than a few ways to wear it. A really fresh 2016 take on this classic is to embrace the natural waves of one’s hair. No longer do curly-haired girls have to shy away from this cut which was dominated by those with pin-straight hair.
3) Super Short Bangs. Worlds different from textured bangs, this is a more aggressive, blunt way to wear the trend. Blunt cut bangs around an inch higher than one’s eyebrows is a great look for those wanting to leave a strong, lasting impression.
4) Polished Long Bob. The long bob, or Lob, has been having a moment for over a year. Its newest incarnation differentiates itself from the lobs of past by texture and finish. Lobs were worn in two specific ways: the first was a very textured, beachy looking ‘do, and the other is to wear it sleek and straight. The most current way to wear this hairstyle is to let your blunt cut, shoulder length hair cascade in glossy, uneven waves.
5) Long layers. This is a look that can make any woman feel pretty. Long layers are a fantastic way to make long tresses look a little more interesting and a little more modern. This works best when hair looks disheveled and effortless, like you just rolled out of bed. Try to stay clear of products that could make your hair look ‘done’ as long layers should look easy and natural.
