Aging starts the minute we are conceived and released from our mother’s wombs. In Japan & Korea, women begin to use night cream at the age of 18. It’s no secret that Japanese & Korean women have some, if not, the best skin in the world. It’s because they start them young. Giving truth to the age-old saying which we hear all the time: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.
It is never too early or too late to start using a night cream. What’s a good gauge? I tell my clients all the time to take a good look at the women in their family who came before them. At your next family gathering, take a good look at your mother, an aunt, an older sister or your grandmother. Any older blood-related family member will suffice. Look at the state of their skin. This is a good exercise to determine at what age more or less you should start using a night cream. In my family, for example, the age of 35-40 is a good place to start. The women in my family are also prone to laugh lines & crow’s feet so I already know that my skin might be prone to the same because of genetics.
