10-Step Korean Skincare

I want to let you in on the best thing I’ve done for my skin in years. My obsession with Korean skincare started mid this year as I was scouring the internet for any articles I could get my hands on. I came across an article about a 10-step Korean Skincare regimen and so I tried it. My skin has never looked better. What happened within a couple of weeks was nothing short of a small miracle. My skin looked better than it had in ages – more luminous, smoother, even. Don’t be intimidated as it sounds like a lot of work, but it really only takes 10-15 minutes.

Step 1: Oil Cleanser- As a rule, oil sticks to oil, so you want to use this to cleanse your skin from make up and environmental pollution. I like Banila Clean It Zero.

Step 2: Foaming Cleanser- Double cleansing is an essential part of this routine. Use a water-based cleanser like Dewy Tree Green Tea Pure Moisture Foam Cleanser to cleanse skin from water-based dirt like sweat.

Step 3: Exfoliator- Use this twice a week to free your skin from dead skin cells and expose new skin.

Step 4: Toner- This helps restore the pH balance of your skin. It also makes your skin like a sponge, ready to absorb all the benefits from the essence and ampules you will be using next.

Step 5: Essence- The most important step in the process. Essences speed up cell turnover rate which means you have fresh, younger looking skin.

Step 6: Ampoule- A thicker, more concentrated version of essence. Its a serum that helps with targeted skin problems.

Step 7: Sheet Mask- Use twice a week for best results. Leave it on for about 20 minutes so your skin can soak up all of its healing ingredients and benefits.

Step 8: Eye Cream- Helps with hydration, fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. Apply gently.

Step 9: Face Cream- Apply all over the face for maximum moisture and hydration.

Step 10: SPF- Only for day use. Never leave home without it.
