I’ve been a fan of Embryolisse Lait Créme ever since Gwyneth Paltrow mentioned it as one of her favorite French drug store finds in her online magazine GOOP. Aside from Gwyneth, this white and blue little tin tube of moisture is most often seen in the bags top make up artists and models during Fashion Week. This is because it quite simply does what it says it will do.
Embryolisse Lait Créme Concentrate was created by French physician in the 1950s who wanted to make a moisturizer he could offer to his patients to achieve soft, dewy skin without any bad reactions. His formula is enriched with fatty acids and vitamins and works by retaining water on your skin without a heavy oily feel. It’s very lightly fragranced, white, and goes on clear on the skin.
Bottom line, it’s a fabulous product and I personally love using it as a night moisturizer or make up primer. It makes my foundation go one much better than anything else I’ve used. I’ve also heard of other women using it as a decadent makeup remover. Simply spread a generous portion over your face and eyes and wipe off with a tissue. It’s also gentle enough to use on your lips and can even be used as conditioner on the tips of damp hair. No wonder this product has such a cult following.
I used to have to search far and wide to purchase this product abroad, so thank you so much, Calyxta for stocking this holy grail moisturizer for girls like me. Ooh la la!
I would recommend Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate if:
1. You’re looking for a light day or night moisturizer that won’t weigh your skin down.
2. You’re looking for a primer to help give your skin a more dewy coverage.
3. You don’t like having heavy fragrances or color in your skincare products.
