Beauty writer Cat Juan-Ledesma was given the chance to try out the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift range, but as she was pregnant, she asked a good friend to road test the line. Here’s what she has to say:
Moisturizer Dermo Expertise Revitalift Laser X3 Night Cream-Mask:
What it is: A rich face cream formulated with active pro-xylane, fragmented hyaluronic acid and LHA. These three ingredients combined help thicken the skin, they also give it intense hydration lessening the appearance of wrinkles.
Pros:
- After two weeks you already begin to see a noticeable difference.
- The cream is thick, making it the perfect night cream.
- Didn’t make skin breakout.
Cons:
- Too thick for day time use. Especially in our humid climate.
- Heavily fragranced. I recommend having a sniff before committing.
Dermo Expertise Revitalift Laser X3 Eye Cream:
What it is: An eye cream that promises to offer the same if not better results than a fractional laser treatment.
Pros:
- Much more affordable than a laser treatment
- Helps battle any dry skin in the sensitive eye area
- Fine lines are no match
Cons:
- Doesn’t wok on deeper wrinkles and laugh lines.
Dermo Revitalift Laser Corrector Total Care:
What it is: Not your average toner. In fact, it isn’t a toner. This treatment water promises immediate hydration for up to 48 hours and improves skin texture.
Pros:
- Great for daytime use when you want moisture without any heavy feel
- Skin feels plumper after just a few days of use
Cons:
- You still need to use a toner if that’s part of your routine. This is a treatment water, recommended to be used after your toner and before your serum.
Bottom line: This is an affordable range of anti-aging products that work. It might not be for everyone, but what beauty products truly are? If you’re currently in your 30s and looking for a range to help keep dryness, sallow skin, and ageing at bay — this may be the line for you.
