Alon is a local beauty brand that aims to create products that share the essence of island living. They also work with cooperatives and organizations in the country to help promote livelihood programs, which empower the lives of local rural women.
I was able to try three products from their Olive Garden collection: a harvest of olive goodness for the nourishment of our skin, especially in the wet tropical weather of our islands. Here are my thoughts:
Often Olive Body Spray: This refreshing spray is great to use on tired feet after a long day at work or an intense workout. It has a super fresh herbal smell, almost like cut grass, and leaves skin feeling silky without a greasy feeling.
Often Dry Olive Oil Mist: If you were a fan of The Body Shop’s Dry Olive Oil Mist (which is no longer being made), this nourishing formula will be perfect for you. Dare I say, this even has a cleaner smell compared to the Body Shop’s formula and is perfect to use after a shower. Its fragrance lasts throughout the whole day.
Often Olive Moisturizing Sanitizer: This has to be one of the best smelling sanitizers I’ve had. And the best part is that it’s also quite moisturizing so skin is nourished while being cleaned.
All in all, I loved all three products. They smelled amazing and did the job that they promised to do. They are also proudly local and help give livelihood to our countrymen. A check mark in all boxes for me!
