Imagine lying down by the beach with a Piña Colada in hand—and then turn that whole experience into a makeup product. That’s the best way I can describe the Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer!
This bronzer is a staple in my makeup kit for many good and delicious reasons. First, the smell is amazing. It won’t be hard to miss the scent as you can smell it even when the container is closed! Even those who aren’t into scented makeup products will enjoy this because the Piña Colada scent will eventually fade right after you apply the bronzer on.
I have been wanting to try this bronzer for years as I knew it had a cult following in the US. But I couldn’t get myself to buy it because it only came in two shades—Light Bronzer and Bronzer. The Bronzer shade was their darkest shade at that time, but I saw that only women with fair skin tones were using it. I was so happy when they launched two new shades last year (Sunkissed and Deep Bronzer) that were made for deeper skin tones! I immediately got the Deep Bronzer shade and it quickly turned into my go-to bronzer. It has a slight sheen when you look at the pan, but it applies matte on the skin while giving you a healthy glow. The color is not too warm and not too cool, so I sometimes use it not just to bronze but for contour as well.
Another great thing about this bronzer are the ingredients! Physician’s Formula is known to be sensitive skin-friendly as their ingredients never include any skin irritants. Other than this bronzer being hypoallergenic, paraben-free, gluten-free, oil-free, non-comedogenic and dermatologist-approved, it also contains Murumuru Butter, a moisturizing ingredient that leaves your skin feeling soft after application.
The only two cons I can think of are the packaging and the applicator. The packaging is bulkier compared to other bronzers I’ve owned in the past, and I find the applicator hard to use so I never used it. I just use a fluffy angled brush to apply the bronzer. Given these cons, I would still repurchase because it does everything I want in a bronzer plus I really love the scent!
