Sometimes, you just want to steer away from the classics and try something new and unpredictable. Yes, a brown smoky eye paired with a neutral lip is a combination that looks great on almost everyone but for times that you want to freshen up your look you might want to try these fun new make up combinations.
Baby Pink and Baby Blue
This combination isn’t Pantone’s colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, for nothing. These colors are really fun and youthful; it is the perfect pairing if you are feeling playful. I like using a baby blue gel liner to do a small wing-tip eyeliner and match it with a matte baby pink lip for an updated retro look. Another way to wear this combination is to use a wash of baby blue eye shadow all over the lid and couple it with a satiny baby pink lipstick.
Navy and Charcoal
This is a softer, less harsh version of a straight-up, black smoky eye. This combination looks good on anyone. Prep the eyelid with an eye shadow primer then apply a charcoal colored shadow all over the crease using a mid-size flat eye shadow brush. Fill in the lid with a navy colored shadow. Blend well. Intensify this look by lining the eyes with black eyeliner.
Purple and Brown
Purple is a color that doesn’t get used enough. Of all the colors, it is probably the most flattering on brown eyes because it makes it look a little lighter than it actually is. Use a wash of plum all over the upper eyelid and extend the color down to line the lower lashes. Use a dark chocolate brown eye shadow on the outer corners of the eye to add depth and dimension.
Silver and Orange
This show-stopping look is definitely not for the faint of heart but when done well the result is just stunning. Use a shimmery cream eye shadow all over the eyelid and set with a glittery silver shadow. Apply a tangerine lip liner all over the lips and top off with a bright orange lip gloss. Finish this look off with lots of mascara.
