When it comes to dressing up your peepers, take your cue from the eye shape you were born with!
Deep-set eyes are large and appear deeper into the skull, so this creates the illusion of a more prominent brow bone. Those with this particular eye shape tend to have darker shadows cast under the eye, so it’s best to invest in a good brightening concealer. For color, use a beige or peachy hue to brighten your lids, then highlight the brow bone right under your arches with an illuminating crayon.
Suggested Product: Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer (P299)
For those with close-set eyes, you need to highlight below the brow bone and the inner lid. Afterwards, use a medium shade of eyeshadow, and apply on the lids going a little farther than the actual width of your eye. Then, using a darker shade of eye shadow, apply on the lids starting from the outside and on top of the crease. When it comes to eyeliner application, start at the
center of the lid, then work your way towards the outer part of the eye, making sure to form a straight line.

First, you need to contour the bridge of your nose to add definition and create a more balanced space between the eyes. When choosing an eye shadow, avoid shimmery ones because these will only emphasize the space further. Using darker eyeshadow hues on the inner corners of the eyes helps reduce the space. You may also elongate your brows at the inner corners to help make your eyes appear narrower.
Suggested Product: Pixi Natural Contour Powder (P995)
This is the easiest and most versatile of all eye shapes. For a quick daytime look, simply apply a neutral shade of eye shadow, then use a darker shade on the outer corners for some accentuation. Finish off with two coats of black mascara for added oomph.
Suggested Product: Eye of Horus Goddess Black Mascara, P990
The focus here should be on achieving a rounder eye. Start by applying light eyeshadow on the inner corners of the eyes, then apply a medium shade on the hooded lid. Next, apply a dark shade to the crease to create the appearance of rounder eyes. Finish off with eyeliner and make sure to extend the line out and upwards.

Monolid (Jamie Chung)
Start by highlighting the inner corners of your eye and extend the highlight to the center of the lid. Use a medium shade of eyeshadow above the crease, starting from the outer corner of the eye—this should create an illusion of rounder eyes. Next, use dark eyeshadow lightly to define the round shape but don’t go beyond the center of the lid. Invest in a long-wearing black eyeliner, making sure to go thicker towards the outer corners of the eye during application.
