If you’re aiming to get that J.Lo glow on, then you need to be loading up on bronzers and highlighters—stat! Bronzers are a great way to fake a tan and get more chiseled features while highlighters lend a youthful and radiant vibe to one’s look. When used together, they help you achieve beach babe status in an instant! Here are three looks we suggest for the hot summer months:

Brownie Points

Getting this look is easy. Simply use a bronzing powder for both eyes and cheeks, then finish off with a lip color that best match the brownish hue of your bronzer. The goal here is to go as monochromatic as possible, and the end result is an on-trend look that works for everyone!

Light Duty

If you feel like your skin has been lacking radiance, this is the look for you. A highlighter will definitely up the ante, and in an effortless way, too. Simply apply the highlighting product (we tend to favor powder or cream versions as they don’t melt away under the sun!) on the highest points of the face: tip of the nose, brown bone, and top part of cheek bones. Applying the product with a slightly wet fan brush helps give you that extra sheen, too.

Go for Gold

Metallics are a great way to update your makeup look, and you can wear this hue in small doses or all over—that’s entirely up to you. We encourage you to keep it at a minimum for the day though, as gold can look a bit overboard for a simple brunch out with the girls. Use a tiny bit all over lids or a tiny bit on your tear ducts, and you’re good to go. For evenings out, you can use it as a highlighter by lightly dusting on some key areas. Another tip is you can apply it onto the center of your lower lip to give it a slightly fuller effect!
