As someone who has a lot of real ink, I was so excited when I first saw LULU DK Metallic temporary tattoos. First of all, they looked more grown up than the typical skulls, eagles and sailor hearts of our childhood, and I was automatically smitten by the feminine designs that came in gold and silver.
It was at their launch that I first tried these temporary beauties, and I was amazed at how they stayed on even when I spent two nights at the beach; as I was told they come off with make up remover or any kind of oil. Furthermore, two weeks later, although a bit weathered, my tattoos were still intact. Typically, they are supposed to last 5-7 days.
I’ve seen a lot of copycats in the past couple of months so I decided to try some out, to see if LULU DK was indeed worth it to buy as the better choice. I tried one that was significantly cheaper, and asked a colleague to try it as well. After about thirty minutes, I noticed my arm was getting painful and red and a rash was starting to form around the temporary tattoos. Furthermore, the gold and silver looked like aluminum foil that creased and wrinkled as opposed to the LULU DK ones that remained flat and smooth throughout use.
It’s a great addition to your accessories stash, especially for the summer when you start getting your invites for BBQ’s and beach parties. It looks great with bronzed skin and messy beach waves. Likewise, it can also be used for more special events- my sister is actually wearing some for her outdoor wedding this weekend, and only gold earrings to match!
