As a make up artist, I am always in search for products that are better than my current favorites. My kit needs to be stocked with old staples and the latest that the skincare and make up world have to offer. Primers are among the top items that I am always on the lookout for because they are the foundation of every lasting make up look. A good primer can mean the difference between your make up melting in minutes or lasting through the wee hours.
We are all familiar with photo editing apps on smartphones. One of my favorites is one that that makes faces look ‘soft focused’ blurring all lines, pores, blemishes and imperfections. It makes skin look flawless. L’Oreal True Match Blur Cream, in effect, does the same thing. Use a pea-sized amount of the cream and spread all over your face, paying special attention to the t-zone and areas with large pores and rough skin. Immediately, you will notice the difference- pores are less visible, skin looks more even and mattified. L’Oreal Blur Cream can be used alone; just a thin application of the primer, a little mascara and lip gloss and you’re good to go. You can also use it as a base for your make up.
Using primers are the first essential step to any make up look. When you spend 30 minutes or more trying to get your make up to look just right you want it to last. Primers make make up last because it evens out skin texture creating a smooth surface for make up to go on to. It also creates a barrier between the skin and make up which makes it last longer because it keeps the make up in place even when skin gets oily.
I used L’Oreal True Match Blur Cream on myself and loved the results. The large pores on my cheeks were not as noticable, my make up stayed in place all day, and I did not get oily. I liked that it felt very light and my skin was able to breathe through the product.
