While I like doing up my eyes and lips and leaving my skin bare, the reality is we all have our own little blemishes and insecurities that we want to conceal. So, I rarely go out without at least a little coverage. The thing is, I hate the super full-coverage; too much foundation and powder makes it look I’m wearing a mask. For shoots it’s fine, but a no-no for everyday life! It’s such a challenge to get that perfect in-between of matte and glow, and to look dewy and not oily, especially in this weather. I’m so glad I discovered Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Palette, a trio of finishing powders that recreate when harsh light hits your face. It does not just cover imperfections, but also filters out harsh light to make you look absolutely flawless, in a very soft-focus photography type of way.
At first I was a bit skeptical. How could one palette create a miracle like that? But after I tried it once, I was sold! It made my skin look absolutely perfect, glowing and flawless without being thick or heavy or making me feel like I was wearing a mask. Simply swipe a large powder brush throughout the palette and sweep on your cheekbones, chin, the bridge of your nose and forehead, or anywhere that light naturally hits your face and see the difference. It’s also great for the no make up look or if you only have literally 5 minutes to do your make up and run out the door. This palette is definitely a staple in my make up kit!
