When Eve Pearl, grand dame of makeup and five time Emmy award winner, decided to create her own makeup line she brought over two decades of makeup expertise to the table. I have been a long time user of her cult favorite Salmon Concealer, so I was excited to have a chance to try out another one of her products.
Dual Performance lip color prides itself on two things: staying power and hydration. It is a long wearing lipstick that doesn’t fade or feather. Usually, lipsticks that stay on feel dry and tight on the lips. Eve Pearl has managed to create a lipstick that stays on for hours yet feel incredibly hydrating. Because they’ve put vitamin E in the formula, my lips felt softer after hours of use. The lipstick had a great texture and glided on smoothly and evenly.
Cherry Cola is a beautiful reddish brown lipstick with gold tones that would look gorgeous on morenas and mestizas alike. It is a full-bodied color that is quiet opaque and very pigmented. It’s a really good color choice for women who want to be a little more adventurous with their lipstick but aren’t quite ready to commit to a true red.
This lipstick would look perfect paired with a precisely applied black liquid liner and lots of mascara. Keep the rest of the face bare because you want the focus to be on your lips. Here’s a little tip, you could use a nude lipliner all over the lip before putting on the lipstick to give it more grip. It will keep for hours without needing a retouch. Also, using flat, synthetic lip brush just gives it that clean, applied-by-a-professional look.
