I used to like gel eyeliners. They do a beautiful job at lining the eyes, but require a lot of practice to get it perfect. Now, a brush liner has become my new go-to. It fits my non-negotiables when buying beauty products: highest quality, intuitive and user-friendly.
However, I don’t buy just any ordinary brush liner. First, it must have a full-bodied, rich, opaque color. There is nothing I cannot stand more than a sheer black liquid liner that goes on gray. Second, it must have a brush tip – not a sponge tip – so it is easy to control. A brush tip provides comfort as it softly hugs the contours of the eye, making it easier to create straight, dramatic lines.Third, it must stay on all day. If it is waterproof, then it is better.
Clio Waterproof Brush Liner, needless to say, meets my criteria. I have fallen in love with the dense color of its Kill Black edition. It is the most beautiful shade for creating wingtips that even Adele and Alexa Chung would salivate over. Its brush is brilliant; soft enough to apply comfortably even on the blinkiest of eyes but firm enough to keep shape while drawing a perfect, geometric line. And, it stays on even after several washes.
With a sleek packaging, this Clio Waterproof Brush Liner is definitely going inside my makeup kit.
