If there’s one thing every girl struggles with, it’s slugging around a bag or purse with a makeup kit filled to brim. Because of the excess of products, our bag tends to weigh way heavier than it should. The solution? Makeup products that go the extra mile. Get the most bang for your buck with superb products that multitask. You’d be surprised at just how many of these super products you already own.
Lipstick as an Eye, Lip and Cheek Stain
An oldie but goodie, women have been pulling this trick for decades – and there’s a good reason to it. It’s convenient, practical, and efficient. Get a lipstick in a flattering rose, berry, mocha or wine hue. These colors do wonders as universally flattering shades. After applying lipstick like you normally would, tap your ring finger lightly on your lipstick and gently apply onto the apples of your cheeks, and even your lids. You’ll get an instant eyeshadow and blush in a pinch.
Calyxta’s pick: Try out the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Moist Matte Lipstick for lasting color, subtle shine, and moisturizing properties.
Deodorant as an oil blotting sheet
Now, here’s something you don’t hear every day. Deodorant on your face isn’t as scary as it sounds. It does the same thing on your face as it would on your armpits, which is to prevent sweat while keeping your underarms fresh and dry. Taking your clean anti-perspirant deodorant, rub your fingers lightly onto the ball/stick and lightly pat a thin layer onto your T-zone. Stay shine free in no time.
Calyxta’s Pick: RCMA No Colour Powder for a shine-free day.
Mascara as eyeliner
Are you out of your favorite eyeliner? Don’t sweat. Use your mascara as eyeliner by taking a slanted eyeliner brush, and running it over the tip of your mascara wand. Line your eyes with the mascara like you usually would with an eyeliner gel.
Calyxta’s Pick: KissMe Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara for intense color that lasts all day.
Dried up foundation as concealer
Do you see the product build up left on the nozzle or cap of your favorite foundation bottle? Don’t scrape that off, because it could totally double for concealer. The dry foundation, more concentrated now that it has dried a little bit, acts as more potent coverage and can easily be used as concealer. The best part? It’s in the exact same shade, so you no longer need to worry about blemishes and other problem areas being a different color.
Calyxta’s Pick: The legendary Bourjois foundation that’s infused with vitamins.
