Fair-skinned ladies have the advantage of being able to work with bold lip colors that can really make their lips pop. If you’re on the paler side, here are some colors worth exploring:
- Bright pink shades: A neon pink shade is a guaranteed way to add some electricity to a look, it also makes skin look rosier.
- Maroon: Dark brownish reds are a nice classic color, which look clean and sophisticated.
- Plum: More purplish raspberry shades can also be flattering for those with fair skin and dark hair.
- Red: If you’re going to go red, go for the shades with blue undertones rather than orange. These also make your teeth look whiter.
- Dark wine: Go dark like those on the merlot side. Be careful about going too brown as these can make fair skin look a bit flat.
Colors to Avoid:
- Ultra nude: Nude colors with a graying or yellowish tone can make you look washed out.
- Orange shades: Unless they’re on the bolder side, it might be best to stir clear of orange hues all together as they can make extremely fair skin look a bit sickly.
- Grays: We recommend avoiding this super funky trend if your skin is more on the pink than yellow base side.
