5 Korean-Inspired Looks Using Paprika Cosmetics

As my Calyxta writer profile reveals, a lot of my decisions beauty-wise are guided by K-beauty—and there is nothing I love more than K-inspired eye-centric looks! Paprika’s Matte and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette is one I’ve been eyeing for a long time now, as the shades included are anything but boring!

Below, five K-star approved looks you and I can cop to spice up our lives!

1. IRENE KIM’S SUNSET HUES

THE LOOK: A primarily orange eye that’s all about bringing a youthful charm to your face. This sunset-inspired look is best worn with an equally bright and cheery outfit.

WE SUGGEST: Go bold using only the Orange Brown Matte shade all over your lids. Keep your base clean and slightly dewy, and go for a little shine on your lips. Also try: a subtle blend with the Mustard Yellow Matte shade.

  2. HWASA’S PINK POWER

THE LOOK: Feminine fierce with a sparkly pink eye, dishevelled hair, and juicy, deep wine lips.

WE SUGGEST: An overload of the Red Copper Shimmer on your eyes, on the lids, and your undereye. You may also use the Pink Orange Matte as base before piling on the glitter. Line your eyes and go for thick lashes to contrast the pink. Lastly, put on a dark, glossy red pout.

3. SOOJOO’S LET’S TOAST!

THE LOOK: A dramatic eye using toasty colors—such as brown, yellow, peach, and orange. Perfect with fiery red hair, or an equally fiery red outfit.

WE SUGGEST: A gradient of the Mustard Yellow and Orange Brown Mattes, with Tangerine Silver Shimmer on your upper lids. You can never go wrong with the three together—a blend of all, a gradient of light to dark, or otherwise! Then line your undereye with the Brown Shimmer shade for a dramatic effect.

4. JISOO’S SMIZE EYES

THE LOOK: An effortless, off-duty face, with much focus on the aegyo sal.

WE SUGGEST: Keep everything else light and natural, and work on a sparkly blend along your undereye. Try orangey browns on the outer area with a speckle of glitter using the Orange Shimmer, and a lighter shade on the inner corners, using the Gold Shimmer.

5. CHAEYOUNG’S AUTUMN VIBES

THE LOOK: Autumn eyes like artwork!

WE SUGGEST: Pink Orange Matte on the outer corners of your lid, and Mustard Yellow Matte along the middle through the inner corners. Complete the look with the illuminating Gold Shimmer on your undereye.
