5 Festive Looks Inspired by Calyxta Girls

Growing up, Christmas was definitely one of my favorite holidays because it meant putting on my prettiest dress and twirling around the giant Christmas tree in my grandmother’s ancestral house—pretending I was a princess. These days, nothing much has changed. It’s still a holiday I look forward to because it means being able to reunite and catch up with family and old friends. While I’ve traded my pretty dresses for simple and more comfortable outfits, I make up for it by wearing a full and festive face!

Here below are my favorite looks by Calyxta Girls that you can definitely take inspiration from for your next Christmas dinner or party!

Maggie Wilson has one of those naturally beautiful faces that take your breath away. Her cover girl shoot was one of my most memorable ones because of how fun and carefree she was. If you caught her makeup tutorial on Calyxta, she’s mastered the “no makeup” makeup look so well using just a few products. So if you’re in a hurry or if you slept in and only have a few minutes to spare before Christmas brunch with friends, just do it like Maggie! Brush up those brows with Glossier’s Boy Brow, dab and blend Glossier’s Cloud Paint in Haze on your cheeks, and swipe on a comfortable nude pink lippie like the Painted Cosmetics Velvet Matte Lipstick in Faux.

Ultimately dubbed as the Queen of Monochromatic Beauty in my book, take inspiration from Martine Cajucom who is able to use just one product (Sunnies Face in Vacay) to create this peachy ensemble. A product with a very similar hue is the Painted Cosmetics All-In-One Clay Blusher in Reese. Using your ring finger, just dab a bit on your lids and blend a little more on your cheeks. Finish if off with a velvety lipstick like the Rivecowe Chiffon Lipstick in #5 Orange. This look is something I’d definitely wear to dinner and drinks with friends—especially since we’re the type to have a theme for our outfits every year!

Janine Gutierrez has been serving us some of the spiciest looks on Instagram, and as someone who constantly watches out for them, I am never disappointed. Her face is the kind that can literally pull off anything—from your basic “no makeup” look to more unconventional ones (like wearing blue eyeshadow all over the lid!). But this particular look felt very festive—perhaps because of the copper hues on her lids paired with a warm red lippie. I can already imagine myself wearing this look to our company Christmas party!

Here’s a trick if you’re too lazy to do a full look for a Christmas get-together—just add drama to your lids with eyeliner and wear a pop of pink like our August 2018 Calyxta Girl, Gabbi Garcia.
