Don’t we all wish we had a fairy godmother to magically gives us a good blowout everyday? Unfortunately for us mere mortals, we have to do it ourselves or go to the salon to get a good blowout. Fear no more, there are ways to make a blowout last for days! Here are tips to get a gorgeous blowout that will last long:
- Always prep your hair using a heat protectant. This first step is a non-negotiable. It is important to protect our hair and prevent damage.
- Based on your hair type, choose a styling product based on your needs. If you have fine hair, use a volumizing spray.
- Blow dry each section of your hair and set with velcro rollers.
- Remove the rollers and choreograph how you want your hair to look and then set with a hairspray to get that hold and make it last.
- At night, lightly tie your hair in a loose high bun. Use a silk pillow case or tie a silk scarf around your head before sleeping to avoid tangles caused by hair friction.
- The next day, spray dry shampoo towards your scalp and spread it to your roots using your fingers. Let’s face it, we can’t last a whole week without washing our hair with this hot and humid tropical weather, but thanks to dry shampoo, we can go wash free for probably a day or two. The dry shampoo will absorb the oil in our scalp, and make our hair smell good.
Follow these steps for a DIY long lasting blowout!
