I am definitely more of a make up girl. My daily hair routine consists of grabbing what ever shampoo and conditioner I have in the shower and sweeping it up into a messy top knot while is still half wet. I have my hair trimmed maybe twice a year. Every so often I try to put some effort into it and treat myself to a keratin or color treatment. Usually, it’s back in the top knot within a week. Years of neglect have made my fine, wavy hair damaged and shapeless but the new year made me decide it was high time I did something about this.
Having healthy, beautiful hair starts with how you treat it on a regular basis. I cleared my shower area and made space for Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo and Nourish Conditioner for fine hair. I used a quarter sized amount, made a lather and applied it from the roots and worked the shampoo down up to around mid-length of my hair. I noticed the difference immediately. Usually, after shampooing, my hair feels like a squeaky clean nest, impossible to run my fingers through it. This time, I actually could! The shampoos I used before were way too harsh and made my hair feel like dreadlocks because it was stripped off of all moisture. Next, I used Toni and Guy Nourish Conditioner which made my hair feel soft, smooth and healthier than it felt in ages. After air drying, I noticed more differences. My hair had a little more volume at the roots and it didn’t fall flat the way it usually does. The waves also felt more defined without feeling weighed down by the product.
Once a week I use Toni and Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask to give my hair that extra attention that it needs. Instructions say to leave it on for 5 minutes but i like to put it on my towel dried hair and leave it for 30 minutes. This deep conditioner removes all the crunch from my hair and makes me feel like I had a salon treatment without having to leave the house.
