Love Beauty and Planet is a rising hair and skin care brand that was initially launched in the United States in 2017. This brand was well loved by the States—so much that it won 15 awards from beauty sites like Refinery29, Allure, Bustle, and Popsugar!
In 2018, they branched out to Europe and this year, they’re branching out to the Philippines. They formally launched the beauty company on January 16, introducing Love Beauty and Planet to the country and showing us why their products are worth the wait. Here’s everything you need to know about this amazing company!
Their recyclable bottles are also a step towards reducing waste, which is another thing this company stands for. Love Beauty and Planet is all about moving towards less water usage by formulating their conditioners with fast rinse technology: which breaks down conditioner so you can rinse your hair in ten seconds!
Their company, however, makes it clear that they’re not fully natural yet—but they’re getting there. Not all of the ingredients in their products are sustainable yet, their labels and their caps aren’t recyclable, but they’re working on improving these by 2020.
Love Beauty and Planet is a company that literally lives up to their name. Their aim is to bring improvements to the beauty community and saving the environment together. Through #smallactsoflove, their company aims to show that beauty need not compromise being eco-friendly—and vice-versa!
Their products are formulated with ethically sourced natural ingredients: meaning they get the best ingredients from responsible business partners. Aside from natural ingredients, Love Beauty and Planet is also big on recycling! All of their products are packaged in a recyclable bottle, made out of recycled bottles!
Love Beauty and Planet unveiled the collections to be available in the
Philippines. These collections are geared towards addressing the needs of
every modern Filipina: there is a research team onboard that helped make
sure that each product is built to address various skin care needs without
wasting resources or being harsh on the skin.
The company brought in three collections to the country, each containing a shampoo, a conditioner, and a hand cream. All of these are paraben and sulfate-free, formulated with the best natural ingredients.
Another collection they introduced was the Tea Tree Oil and Vetiver collection. Tea tree helps detoxify and soothe your scalp, and it keeps your skin smooth and acne-free. Vetiver, meanwhile, helps you relieve stress while you take a bath. The tea tree oil is sourced from Australia, and the vetiver is sourced from Haiti.
The first collection they introduced was the Murumuru Butter and Rose collection. Murumuru butter has a lot of moisturizing properties, and it keeps your hair and skin from getting dry. Rose Oil helps moisturize and soften your hair, even adding a little more vibrance if you’ve had it colored. The Murumuru Butter is sourced from Amazon and scented with rose oil from Bulgaria.
