With summer here in full force, I was thrilled to be asked to review Tony Moly’s Sunny Clear Sun Spray SPF50.
This sunblock is in a transparent mist form and thankfully leaves no residue and no whitish cast that often comes with high protection sunblocks. So yes, thankfully no Kabuki looks this summer! This sunblock is water resistant and fairly gentle which makes it great for long outdoor exposure and can actually be used on your face too. Here’s a pro tip: spray the sunblock onto clean fingers and gently pat on face instead of spraying directly. You don’t want this to get into your eyes.
Another factor that I really loved about this sunblock is that it can be sprayed on both wet or dry skin, which means I don’t need to towel off my active toddler before giving him a boost of sun protection after a few hours of swimming. Sunblocks are usually fairly expensive, so I was happy to see that this one was actually pretty affordable. I also like how it wasn’t heavily scented and felt super cool upon spraying, another plus for my toddler who isn’t a fan of the sticky feeling of sunblock.
I would recommend Tony Moly’s My Sunny Clear Spray if you…
- Plan to spend a lot of time outdoors or in the water this summer
- Don’t like your sunblocks to have a whitish cast to them
- Don’t like the sticky feeling of sunblock lotions
- Want to be able to get sun protection while already wet
