How do highlighters work and are they necessary in your makeup arsenal? Highlighters provide a more chiseled appearance for your face. A swipe of the product on strategic parts of your face lifts your features so that your face appears tighter and firmer. The application of highlighter on top of your cheekbones, for example, instantly makes your cheekbones appear higher and more prominent. So if you want to look tight and firm, then, yes, you need highlighters!
Maybelline recently launched two highlighting products: the Maybelline Master Strobing Cream and the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick. I can’t say that they’re almost identical except for the form they come in because the stick seems to leave a much more subtle and sheer finish whereas the cream is thicker and is more obvious to the naked eye. The stick is best for daytime use, and for those who prefer a much more natural dewy finish. The cream is best for nights out, and for those who like to wear their makeup a bit thicker.
My final verdict? I must say I am loving both of these products because they’re so easy to use, and they’ve updated my regular makeup look with a finish that’s modern and fresh.
